What could help the jurors see the TRUE Jodi Arias this time?
I had a lot of chores to do a couple of weeks ago. In the background I was listening to this long special HLN had on about the trial. I heard Jodi Arias say something on there that I have not been able to get out of my mind. Remember how Jodi, Samuels and ALV told the jury over and over again that she was tricked by Travis and she had a VERY poor understanding of what the Law Of Chastity meant? Well...in this interview she tells otherwise. I had never seen this very early interview. It struck me also that the jury just saw little tiny clips of Jodi telling her lies. It made me wonder.....what could help the jurors this time? I went back over all of the interviews the jurors gave. It seems to me there are three main things I would do differently if I were the very brilliant;who certainly does not need help from the peanut gallery, me, Juan Martinez.
1. Give more examples of JODI being the aggressor sexually./. more of her speaking and lying and lying and lying, longer clips
2. Allow our experts to interview MANY more folks that knew Travis well who can illuminate how afraid he actually was and give more examples of the stalking, even thought they themselves cannot take the stand. The expert can consider their interview with her, just as she took what Stephen told her as a "Datapoint " about breaking into the emails, stealing the engagement ring, hiding behind the Christmas tree.
3. Show the evidence of NO REMORSE by what she did post verdict....slams the victim AGAIN in interviews.

I checked it out, it is COMPREHENSIVE AND QUITE CLEAR WHAT THE LAW OF CHASTITY MEANS. So this is an example Juan Martinez can use. She claimed to the jury she had not happened upon any pamphlet that may have explained the law of chastity. Moreover, she did not understand that oral sex and anal sex were included when the missionaries glazed over the topic by saying ANY SEXUAL CONTACT is NOT ALLOWED. What part of the word "Any" did she not understand?
Wait for it.....on the LDS.org site Jodi Arias tells the reporter she visits for "Any resource one might need regarding being LDS"......guess what there is? A search bar, of course.
I simply typed "Law of Chastity" and low and behold there it was, clearly defined WITH A VIDEO ENTITLED "What are the limits?" It gives cute little examples in the video, in case you are explaining to a younger person, ( not a 27 year old Einstein).

I think Juan Martinez should show much longer snippets , if not the interview in its entirety. The calm demeanor and detailed lies she tells, for hours here...... without a blink illustrate how smart Juror Tara Kelley's question was, "After all the lies you have told, why should we believe you now?"

It isn't because Juan Martinez, or "Men like him, or someone like Travis" is hounding her that she is lying.
I have NEVER seen reporters coddle and speak softer to a person arrested for MURDER, than in this situation. They may as well have wrapped her in a southern prayer cloth and patted her hand while they spoke. STILL......she lied. And lied. And lied. It would help the jury to see her lying in action a bit more. So they will understand she lied then, and she is lying NOW, to US.
Likewise, I believe it will help the jury understand the truth of their relationship for Juan Martinez to show the jury more of how it was JODI who started and wanted and loved the kinky sex talk. There are MANY examples he could point to. He only pointed out one time that it was JODI ARIAS who texted him "I want to f--k you like a dirty horny little school girl". Also she mentions that SHE dressed up in an outfit she chose to play out the school girl fantasy. Speaking just for me, if I didn't want to wear something, I wouldn't and if I didn't like someone talking dirty to me, it just would not continue. We saw through various and sundry examples of how she can punch out from work and drive hours to go confront someone.....Jodi Arias is a very assertive person. It was clear to me, but apparently not 4 of the jurors that JODI ARIAS was what my Gram used to call "The ring leader". Even in her own Motions early on in the case, her lawyers in an attempt to make an example of the sex going on between the pair of them quotes Jodi saying some very elicit things TO Travis in a text. Throughout the trial we saw little bits and pieces of things she did text, but there is so much more we did not see. Since Nurmi droned on and on and ONLY GOD KNOWS how much Alice LaViolette droned on about the select few things sexually Travis said (which I agree by anyone's standards, save for Bob Bashara and his slave women, perhaps, was not how a man should talk to a woman, ever); it seems Juan needs to make sure it is more clear to the jury this time.
Of course Nurmi and Wilmott know better and that is why they did not call Chris or Sky Hughes in the trial. I heard that Jodi; while she was Pro Per for a day or two, decided she wanted to add them to her witness list. That made me laugh so hard I spit my pop all over my keyboard when I read that one. Chris and Sky Hughes and Taylor Searle ( who IS on the witness list ) know all about the kinky sex JODI introduced Travis to. Oh the stories they could relay if it wouldn't be considered heresay. Cooler heads will prevail again now that Jodi is back where she belongs doodling mindlessly in her kids table defendant chair. They will not be calling Mr. or Mrs. Hughes. Due to their view of Travis being so out of context by ALV last time, I do wish the defense would call them. On cross Juan Martinez will be like Moses coming down from the mountain with all he could elicit from them. I like, trust and respect Juan Martinez, if you hadn't guessed.

Jodi Arias says Travis Alexander was the aggressor in their early meetings and their sexual encounters. But Alexander's friend, Taylor Searle, says that is not what Travis told him. According to Searle, Travis said Jodi Arias was super-aggressive and even used the word "nymphomaniac" to describe her .

THIS IS THE GIRL WHO WAS SCARED FOR THE PUBLIC TO KNOW SHE TESTIFIED FOR JODI ARIAS? I do not believe her . In the words of Mark Nejame,"I am being overly generous in my characterization". She knew she committed fraud by not telling Welfare she got likely thousands of dollars for her Jodi pictures. I only mention Chris and Sky; because, they have read ALL of the emails between TA and JA, and they explain there is a vast amount of JODI talking to TRAVIS that way that Juan Martinez could draw from. I understand that the sex talk was quite offensive, but IN THIS SITUATION where JA is being painted as someone who was used and abused and thrown away "Like a used piece of toilet paper," , and based on hearing from the foreman it is clear some of them bought into HER version. If there are more examples to draw on, of her being the instigator, her participating if not leading the deviant talk, then the next jury needs them all up on a board that would make the company that prepared Jose Baez's magnet board of Casey's imaginary friends proud. By Alice Laviolette's standards any guy that is a jerk and uses a girl for sex, or has a one night stand and calls the girl a whore the next day...... he could deserve it if the chick goes all Jodi Arias on his ass. So the jury needs to see more of what really went on, BOTH of them, so they don't think JA was sexually abused in any way.She was NOT.
Lastly, if the expert for Jodi is again to opine that she was not stalking him because he was not afraid, Mr. Martinez could let his experts interview more of Travis' friends the way she did Stephen. SOOO many folks can detail that he was afraid of her and becoming more and more so. The entire Hiatt family have been interviewed on camera about this. There are many, many others also.
